The nine primary races

Races are the various forms of Men, Mer, and Beastfolk found throughout Nirn. There are ten playable races in The Elder Scrolls Online, three for each of the Alliances, the Imperials (Unbound to an Alliance), as well as other non-playable races, such as the Maormer. The Imperials will be playable only to those who purchase the Imperial Edition of the game.

Polymorphable races

Somes races can be transformed into via polymorphs, though this change is only cosmetic. The following races are:
